This time, in alphabetical order:
DGNA "Sad Story" (2013)- And this kicks off Flashback Friday, which is basically this entire list. I constantly adore DGNA because of their vocals and this particular song had been my favorite for a few months.
Exo "Peter Pan" (2013) - It took a while for this song to grow on me, but after "Black Pearl" and "Let Out the Best", this became my favorite Exo "XOXO" album song because of its charm. Also, that rap duet is very lovely and melodic.
Grell Sutcliff (Jun Fukuyama) "Shinkou" (2011)- I love love love Grell (and cosplaying Grell) and I enjoy the way Jun Fukuyama voice's a lot of his characters. Grell's character song from the first season is well composed, fabulous, and matches their personality perfectly.
HOT "We are the future" (1997) - H.O.T. was before my fandom time, but this dance is the ultimate Kpop dance I want to cover. Lately, however, I've been paying attention to the actual song and it is actually well crafted.
Miku Hatsune "Rolling Girl" (2010) - Vocaloids and rock music are a surprisingly smooth mix and several of Miku's iconic songs are perfect examples to rock out to. There's also an interesting and intensely hypnotic atmosphere to this song in particular.
Rin & Len Kagamine "Servant of Evil" (2008?) - This is Len's sequel to Rin's "Daughter of Evil" song. Not only is the song's storyline great, but the haunting melody matches perfectly.
T-ARA "Number 9" (2013) - Kpop doesn't contain much dubstep or EDM, and usually, the kind that they do is no good. However, a few of T-ARA's songs have pretty great dubstep that's gentle (a.k.a. pop) enough for the mainstream ear to consume.
T-ARA "Sugar Free" (2014) - Another great dubstep/EDM-ish song by them. The instrumental break downs in this one and dance breaks in particular are also fabulous.
Yuzuki Yukari & IA "Rentica" (2012)- As a Yuzuki cosplayer, and enjoyer of most Yuzuki songs, discovering this duet was gorgeous, and once again, a test of how much Vocaloid technology has improved.
Bonus! Top repeated songs but purely to practice for dance covers. That list belongs to (in alphabetical order):
After School - First Love
Shinee - Evil
Yuka Yuka Heavenly Night
